Over the last 20 years, new development has radically transformed Downtown Brooklyn from what was primarily a commercial hub, into vibrant a mixed-use neighborhood. The DBCA works to improve the quality of life for the growing community of people who live, learn, and worship in the neighborhood. As the historic heart of the once independent city of Brooklyn, the DBCA also advocates to preserve and protect the rich history and remaining historic architecture in the Downtown Brooklyn.
